Ralph E. Goff, 76, of Afton, formerly of Creston, died Monday, April 3, 2017 at the Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston.
Celebration of Life Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the Powers Funeral Home 601 New York Ave. in Creston. Pastor Jim Woodworth will officiate. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, south of Creston.
Open visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Powers Funeral Home in Creston. Memorial may be directed to C.A.R.E. in Afton or Open Table in Creston. Online condolences can be made at www.powersfh.com.
Ralph Goff, son of Rachel Eva (Davis) Goff and Ray Wesley Goff was born September 14, 1941 in Creston, Iowa. He attended Jefferson school in Creston. Ralph did an array of different work over the years including GRIT paper route, yard mowing and cleaning
Ralph attended the Creston Assembly of God Church over the years. He sure appreciated the friendship and leadership of Pastor Jim McCutchan during that time. Most recently, he attended the United Church of Christ Congregational, enjoying his friendship and interaction with Pastor Jim Woodworth.
Survivors include his many nieces and nephews, including, Tammy (husband Thad) Pickard of Denver, Colo.; great nephew TJ Pickard of Denver, Colo. ; special friend and guardian Donna Hunter and her children of Afton; all of his C.A.R.E. Family in Afton and a host of friends
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, his four brothers, Albert, Franklin and David Goff and Freddie Young; eight sisters, Mary, Pauline, Maxine, Alberta, Darlene, Violet, Mildred and Bessie and dog Junior.
