Payton Glynn, 25, of Creston died Monday, October 31, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
Celebration of Life Memorial Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Creston. Father Ken Halbur will officiate.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Creston.
Visitation will be 1-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Powers Funeral Home in Creston, with family receiving friends from 5-8:00 p.m. Wednesday and a 6 p.m. Prayer Service on Wednesday.

Payton Cole Glynn was born March 22, 1991 in Iowa Falls, Iowa to Thane Alan Glynn and Jill Allyn Nelson. He graduated from Creston High School in 2009 and attended the Ag program at SWCC. Payton lived most of his life in the Creston area. He loved helping kids in 4-H with their calves and clipping and was also a farm hand with cattle, especially show stock. Payton has worked at Precision Pulley in Corning for approximately 3 years. Payton was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Creston, formerly a member of 4-H, Creston FFA Chapter and Lenox Stock and Saddle Club.
Payton is survived by his mother Jill Nelson (Bill Young) of Lenox; father and step-mother, Thane and Rachel Glynn of Creston; his son Owen Glynn of Creston; his sister Bailly Glynn (significant other Zack Benn) of Ames; two brothers Jacey Glynn (significant other Brittany Marshall) of Lenox and Reese Glynn of Creston; grandparents, Walt Glynn of Creston; Rick and Linda Nelson of Sharpsburg; grandmother Debbie Drummond of Creston; aunt Jodi (husband Chad) Larson of Ankeny; uncles, Ben (wife Cary) Nelson of Des Moines, Matt Glynn of Ankeny, and Dirk (wife Beth) Glynn of Carroll; many cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Carol Glynn in 2011.
