Patricia "Pat" Bishop, 85, of Creston died Thursday, February 02, 2017 at Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston.
Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Salem Lutheran Church in Creston. Pastor Brian Jack and Pastor Dan Turner will officiate.
Visitation with family receiving friends will be 3-4:00 p.m. Saturday at Salem Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are to the Friends of the Library or Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston. Online condolences can be given at www.powersfh.com.
Patricia Jane Bishop was born April 14, 1931 in Creston, IA., to Joseph Patrick Healey and Margarethe Katherine Wilson. She attended school in Creston and graduated from Creston High School in 1949 and the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education. Pat lived most of her life in Creston and taught elementary school in Bridgewater, Fontanelle. She was a former member of the St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Creston, current member of Salem Lutheran Church in Creston, Ladies Literary Circle, Chapter AZ PEO Sisterhood 67 year member, Crestmoor Golf Club, a member of Friends of the Library and an avid Iowa Hawkeye Fan.
Survivors include her daughter, Christine (husband Dale) Rutledge of Lisbon, IA.; son Daniel (wife Lisa) Turner of Dayton, OH.; her brother, Thomas (wife Judy) Healey of Beeville, TX.; her sister, Marcia Fulton (husband Ed Bartwick) of Creston, seven grandchildren, Chelsey, Jillian (husband Tony), Chase, Brittany (husband Marcus), Joel, Seth, Kara and four great-grandchildren, Leah, Nora, Lydia and Nolan, nieces, nephews and many, many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents.
