Lottie Riley, 92, of Creston; formerly of Afton, died Monday, November 21, 2016 at the Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston.
Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2016 at the Powers Funeral Home junction of highway 34 & 25 in Creston. Pastor Jim Morris will officiate.
Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, east of Afton.
Open visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, at the Powers Funeral Home in Creston.

Lottie Mae (Bryant) Riley, daughter of Margaret (Kay) Bryant and Noah Willard Bryant, was born February 29, 1924 in Creston, Iowa. She was educated in Union County Country Schools.
On Dec. 20, 1942, Lottie married LeRoy "Bud" Riley near Lenox. They first settled in Des Moines, where she worked as a homemaker.
In 1954, they moved to a farm north of Afton, where they farmed together. Lottie worked at Callison Grocery in Afton, and continuing later with new owners, at Sinn Grocery. She and Bud worked hard for many years with the Union County Fair. They moved to Creston in 1999. Bud died in February of 2004. Lottie continued to live and work independently.
Lottie was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ in Creston, and was very active with the Afton United Methodist Church, before moving to Creston. She was very involved with Bud and the Union County Fair Board. She was active with the Afton Friendly Circle and the Sociable Sals.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Diane Riley of Creston; two grandchildren, Jodi Riley of Creston and Jason (wife Denise) Riley of Afton; four great-grandchildren, Ashtyn Riley and Danielle, Cassidy and Alexandria Riley; a brother-in-law, Junior Dillenburg of Creston; two sisters-in-law, Mary Bryant of Lenox and Katy Bryant.
Lottie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband LeRoy, her two sons, Larry in 1961 and Lonny in 2016, three sisters, Mildred, Alberta Mellow and Lucille Dillenburg and three brothers, Willard "Bud", Paul and Robert Bryant.
