Herbert Glenn Justice son of Bonnie Effie (Baxter) and Glenn Herbert Justice was born June 8, 1928, in rural Bondurant in Polk County, Ia. Herbert graduated from Murray High School in 1946.

Herbert was united in marriage to Roberta Hansen on November 20, 1949 at the United Methodist Church in Thayer. They settled in Thayer where he farmed until 1965. Herbert moved to Creston and began working for the city and later the county for a total of 32 years as a blade operator. After retirement he continued for another four years with the county before driving for Cornick Chevrolet and later for Stalker Chevrolet until April of 2008. Herbert loved to repair old tractors and spend time camping and fishing. Herbert was a member of the Creston and Murray Methodist Church.
Herbert is survived by a son Stephen (wife Rhonda) Justice of Le Mars, Ia.; a daughter Sharon (husband Doug) Rather of Santa Fe, N.M.; four grandchildren, Kari (husband Matt) Jansen of Waterloo, Curtis (wife Alison) Justice of Sioux City, Amy Kinkade of Tulsa, Okla. and Jason Kinkade of Tulsa, Okla.; eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Herbert was preceded in death by his parents, wife Roberta in 2015, two brothers, John and Bob Justice, and a grandson Jeffrey Kinkade in 1991.
