Harlow Hall, 89, of Afton; formerly of Colorado Springs, Colorado, died Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at his home in Afton.
Celebration of Life Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 5 at the Shannon City Community Church in Shannon City. Pastor Lila Green will officiate the service.
Burial will be at the Oakland Cemetery near Shannon City.
Military rites will be by the Theodore J. Martens Creston VFW Post #1797.

Harlow Burton Hall, son of Dr. Harlow Isaac Hall and Connie Hall, was born April 16, 1927, in Avon, New York. He graduated from Avon High School in 1944 and then from University of Michigan, with a Psychology Degree. Harlow served in the Merchant Marines.
On September 2, 1948, Harlow married Virginia Mae Hall at the United Methodist Church in Silver Creek, New York.
They settled in Fort Wayne, Indiana where they raised their family. Moving to Colorado Springs in 1971, Harlow purchased the A-1 Collections business, which he operated for the next 18 years.
They moved to Afton, Iowa in March 2013, to live near their son Willie. Virginia died in June of 2013.
Harlow was a founding member of the John Birch Society that started in the early 1950's in Indiana.
Harlow is survived by his son, Bradford "Willie" (wife Hope) Hall of Shannon City; one daughter, Patty (husband Steve) Hammond of Collierville, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Eric Hall (wife Amy Bloom) of Burlington, Matthew (wife Sarah) Hammond of Collierville, Tennessee, Michael Hammond of Denver, Colorado, Grant Hall of Shannon City and Grace Hall of Shannon City; one great-granddaughter, Leah (husband Rob) Swanson; two brothers, Dr. Wendell (wife Wendy) Hall of Avon, New York and Warren (wife June) Hall of Merrills Inlet, South Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.
Harlow was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Virginia.
