Frances Miller Davenport, 96, of Creston, died Thursday June 23, 2016, at Greater Regional Hospice Home, in Creston. Celebration of life services will be held 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Creston. Pastor Dave Tebbenkamp and Pastor Eric Wilmeth will officiate. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery north east of Creston. Open visitation will be 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Creston. Family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church on Friday. Memorials may be given to Gideons or the Baptist Church Planters. Frances Viola (Feeback) Miller Davenport was born March 14, 1920 in Genevieve, Mont., a daughter to W. Clyde Feeback and Orpha Estella (Kelley) Feeback. She was educated in Arispe and graduated from high school there with the class of 1938.

On March 28, 1942, Frances was united in marriage to Wayne W. Miller in Grant City, Mo. She worked as a certified nurse's aid at the Creston Hospital, primarily in the obstetrics department. After 25 years, Frances retired on March 15, 1985. Wayne passed away in 1987.

Frances met Lee Davenport and they were united in marriage on December 8, 1987, in Creston, Ia.

Frances was a member of the First Baptist Church, Gideon Auxiliary and 4-H and later became a leader.

Frances is survived by her son Wally (wife Judy) Miller of Creston; two daughters, Linda (husband Larry) Wilmeth of Indianola, Ia and Trudy Williams of Morrison, Colo.; 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; a stepson, Lyndon (wife Dea) Davenport of Diagonal; two stepdaughters, Karolyn McCain of Phoenix, Ariz. and Melody (husband Dennis) Nordine of Luddington, Mich.; eight step grandchildren and many step great-grandchildren; two sisters, Raola Giles and Judi O'Grady; one brother, Jim (wife Jane Lee) Feeback; along with an extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Wayne Miller and Lee Davenport; sisters, Elizabeth (husband Lester) Giles and Connie (husband Don) Huff; brother William Feeback; three brothers-in-law Warren Giles, Lester Giles and Don Huff; grandson-in-law Ricky Styles; niece Brooke O'Grady and a stepson Randall Davenport.
