Everett Heuckendorf, 86, of Creston died Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the Creston Specialty Care in Creston.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2018 at Graceland Cemetery, south of Creston. Pastor Mary O'Riley will officiate.

Military Graveside Rites by the Theodore J. Martens Post 1797, Creston V.F.W. Burial will be at Graceland.

Everett E. Heuckendorf was born November 9, 1931 in Adair County, Iowa. Everett served in the United States Army.
On December 17, 1951, Everett was united in marriage to Ruth Martha Louise Burg at the Penn Avenue Church in Richland Township of Adair County, Iowa.

They lived and farmed north of Richland in Adair County. Later, they moved to a farm south of Richland, before moving to Creston. Everett worked at Southwestern Community College as a custodian and night watchman.

Survivors include one brother-in-law, Leo "Slim" (wife Mary) Burg of Creston; one sister-in-law, Mary Lou (husband James) Abell of Creston; local nieces Kathy Abell, Denise (husband Tom) Redding, Connie (husband Tom) Sevier, Marlene (husband Rich "Stretch") Mullin; local nephews, Ed (wife Judy) Pridgen, Jim Abell, nieces Vivienne Wyllie, Lois Mensing, Patricia McAninch and numerous other nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Martha in 2013, a sister, Minnie Mae Mirabelli, six half-sisters, Frieda Duben, Harriett Rubendall, Anna Shinn, Doris Askland, Catherine Goetz and Arlene Pool; two half-brothers, Herbert and Harold Heuckendorf; a sister-in-law, Lois Pridgen and a brother-in-law, Frank Dennis.
