I'm sorry for your loss. The last time I saw Gene was pure seredipity (may be 10 or 12 years ago?) I had stopped at the HOnda dealer off of Hickman Road, to get a filter, and Gene was working there at the time - it was sweet encounter to catch up. Healing to you all.

To all of the Fitzgerald family, our sincere sympathy in your loss of Gene, and such a short time after losing Jack, too. Gene's parents were best friends with our parents for many, many years, and we certainly shared a lot of good fun with them, whether it be playing cards around the big oak table, singing around the piano, or going on picnics. Gene never knew a stranger and was loved by everyone. I'm sure he will be missed by all of his family and friends. May it be of some consolation to know that he no longer has to suffer. Incidentally, the picture of Gene looks exactly like I remember him, even though it's been many, many years since our paths crossed. We will remember all of you in our thoughts and prayers.
